If I were a slightly disgruntled Hillary speech writer, I’d subtly work some of this into her DNC speech.

Too Bernie turned out to be old and frail, senile and weak. He’s being what Texas’ favorite Canadian would call a servile puppy dog. All this shit on how Debbie rigged the primary to the point where she is resigning now that she got caught, and now they’re blaming the Russians for emails that THEY WROTE.

EVERYTHING Hillary does from now is tainted. The fact that they had to rig behind the scenes so much should tell you that even they didn’t think Hillary could win a fair election. Ah, the Bushes and Clintons.

Gary Johnson is our only hope. You DO have a choice! He’s on the ballot in all 50 states.

If electing a woman for president is THAT important, vote for Jill Stein, who has been the most successful female candidate to this point.

And even if it was between Hillary and Trump, I’d vote Trump. At least he’d pick Christie as attorney general and PROSECUTE Hillary. And at least Trump won a fair election. The RNC doesn’t like Trump, and they wish they had superdelegates, but at least Reince is FAIR!

The best thing Trump did during his campaign was destroy Jeb’s chances. Jeb thought he could get by with his name and money alone. NOPE!!!!!!!!!!! Now Trump needs to shut down the Clinton Family too. Yeah I know Trump is close to the Clintons, and a vote for Trump may be a vote for Hills, and a vote for her is a vote for Trump, but at least Christie will prosecute her. And hopefully Christie will prosecute DWS too.

It’s not throwing away a vote to vote for a 3rd party. In my opinion - it’s the very definition of how to properly use your vote.

GARY JOHNSON 2016

Voting for the lesser of two evils guarantees only 1 thing.

A vote for evil.

If everyone who hated hillary and everyone who hated trump votes for Johnson he wins the election

I don’t have any judgments. Me, I’ll vote for Mrs. Clinton, not that I think her to be any kind of candidate. In fact, that she is a woman is probably the only thing she has going for her in my book. That and she isn’t Donald Trump.

I am going to reuse that one about the evil. That is an excellent statement. The trouble with your solution is that nobody’s heard of Gary Johnson. Well, relatively almost nobody.

I believe he’s polling higher than hillary in some states (especially Utah, where he currently lives, though that’s not surprising). Also he’s at 12 or 13% in the national polls. If he hits 15 he’ll be on the main national debate stage with hillary and donald. If he can actually get donald to shut up for a few seconds so he can get a word in I think a lot of people will be joining this non-evil band wagon.

Can I ask how old you are? Just curious.

For my part, I respect Bernie and those who follow him. I’m 52 and more steeped in the Old Ways than many of the Bern feelers. I thought Bernie’s speech last night was credible and whether or not he was successful, I thought he did a good job of trying to lead the folks who were following him.

And though I never thought I would ever do such a thing in a MILLION YEARS, I will say that Ted Cruz called it: Ya’ gotta vote your conscience. When I do the calculus, I gotta vote Hillary because of all the SCOTUS justices who will retire in the next presidential term.

Are you a Utahan? May I ask your age?

I am 52 and though I have liberal social leanings, I also belong to a conservative religion. But more to the point, I think the Bern movement and even the Trump assault on human decency have caused a fissure not only in the political parties, but in the American political old school. I heard a comment by David Brooks, whom I’d describe as a soft conservative, that the death knell of the centralized political parties has sounded and social media will replace them. My opinion is that Hillary is the choice, but that the reinventing of American politics must continue.

Voting for a candidate based on the party, or a party alone is not a good way to vote. Voting for the lesser of two evils is throwing your vote away. Vote for the person you most align with.

I got Gary Johnson 82%, which doesn’t surprise me at all. Get the government out of our personal decisions.

I’m originally from NJ but live in Michigan (and have for around 10 years). I’m 30.

I line up with Johnson a lot because fiscally I’d like the government to stop spending so much god damn money and socially I don’t give a damn about how you live your life as long as you aren’t actually harming other people.

I’m Catholic but it is the opposite of the founding of our country to let those beliefs impact how I think the country should be run. The founding fathers put in “the separation of church and state” for a reason. Voting on issues (any issues) based off of a religious belief is wrong.

Weld will kick their asses.

If anything he may come off lose cannon-ish because he lacks a filter sometimes. I think they’re doing it intentionally though, Johnson is good cop, Weld is bad cop. When they did their town hall on CNN Johnson was very “I’m not going to comment on the other candidates” Weld was very “Trump is an idiot and a danger to our country”

Gave me a good laugh

I’ve actually never heard Johnson use a word that isn’t allowed on the floor of Congress, so I doubt he would have even called him the proper term vagina.

And that’s a hysterical description of Trump btw, I just don’t think Johnson said it. There’s also another hysterical joke in there about Johnson and pussy in the same sentence LOL

Comes down to morality. My brother-in-law is an atheist and has a stronger sense of morality than many religious people. For me, my morality and my religion are intertwined and difficult to separate, but a tenet of my faith is the concept of agency . Folks gotta make choices. But a government should protect its citizens from the amoral.

I think they should only be protecting from the actually dangerous not the amoral. It’s a fine, yet fuzzy line that indicates what should and should influence our opinions and votes and I know it’s different for everyone. The thing is though, a Christian agenda shouldn’t have to be placed on your Atheist Brother in Law, that’s not right either.

So where do you draw the line between amoral and actually dangerous? That’s where conscience comes in and conscience, I would argue, ought to be independent of religion, though one would hope that the two would largely line up.

Kinja'd!!! Sweet Trav > MontegoMan562 is a Capri RS Owner

Kinja'd!!!1

But, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. A Trump presidency means the undoing of the progress made from FDR to Obama by the progressive movement.

Unfortunately the high goals and hopes I had for this election are gone. I was hoping the American people would see past the hate speech, the rhetoric, and the shocking disgust of Donald J. Trump, instead as Americans are wont to do, they enjoyed the chaos, the reveled in the spectacle, they now felt their hate was justified. And I’m not just talking about run of the mill racist Trump Crony here. There are plenty of people voting for him because he is an outsider, because he does rightfully understand the free trade has decimated our manufacturing base, many of our good jobs and has eroded our quality of life, but of course his companies outsource jobs to China, and uses Free-Trade to his full advantage, I assume all of his Anti-Free trade rhetoric will die down his first day in office, when his corporate crony friends tell him to lay off, But I digress...

Now, my only hope is he doesn’t become president. I’ll take any candidate that can beat him (Sorry it isn’t Gary Johnson) I’ll take any act of god or man that keeps him from the highest office of the land. I’ll take a fucking meteor destroying our planet, Alien Invasion, The Rapture, The Zombie Apocalypse or Plague if it keeps him out.

Because previous GOP candidates have been able to stagnate progress with a quiet complicit majority; Trump however will be able to revert progress with thunderous applause from the frothing, unwashed masses. A Trump presidency means the reversion of 70 years of Progress like: The Civil Rights Act of of 1964, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, the EPA, Consumer Protection Laws, Labor Laws, Marriage Equality, and The Voting rights act of 1965

I fear a Trump presidency more than I fear: AIDS, EBOLA, Centaurs, Centipedes, ISIS, ISIL, Out of Control Monkeys, GIANT KILLER TOMATOES, Insane Clowns from Outer Space, Skin-Burrowing Parasitic Larvae, and North Korea. But in all seriousness, I find President Trump beyond terrifying.

For that reason: I’ll vote for Hillary Clinton, with my nose plugged, in protest, with the hope that she gets impeached. Not because I like her, Not because I don’t think there are better candidates out there but because, she isn’t Donald Fucking Trump.

I am a realist. She is the only one ( allowed to run ) that can pull enough votes to stop Trump.

I understand your reasoning I just disagree with it.

I want trump launched into a black hole. Throwing him into the sun itself isn’t even brutal enough, I want his existence destroyed in there.

Gary is polling higher than Hillary in some states and is almost at the requirement for the national debates. MY VOTE will go to the best candidate in the race and I will not be controlled into changing my vote because of FEAR.

This is the best opportunity we’ve ever had to crack through the 2 party system. You’ve studied history, you know the main parties have changed and fluctuated and there’s even reason to support more than 2.
